To celebrate the International Angelman Day on 15th February and the 8th day of the Chinese Lunar New Year, HKASF will organize a movie appreciation session and tea gathering for all the angel families, volunteers and friends. Details are as follow:

1. Movie Appreciation
Movie: Alvin & the Chipmunks 4
Venue: The Grand cinema at Elements
Show Time: 2pm to 3:33pm (duration: 93 minutes)

1. Spring Festival tea gathering
Time: upon completion of the movie
Venue: Wide Ginger Restaurant (next to The Grand cinema)
Time: 3:45pm – 5:45pm

HKASF is honoured to have the kind sponsorship from Prudential Plc for the entire event of the day. Also, Wide Ginger restaurant planned to close its business on 14 February but it is highly appreciated that they initiated to postpone its business for one more day to support HKASF. On the event day, donation boxes will also be available and HKASF promised to wisely use the fund raised.

‘Over 44 Angelman syndrome organisations around the world would celebrate The International Angelman Day this year in different ways. To demonstrate the courageous and positive attitudes of the angels, each organisation would arrange special events for them which they find hard to participate normally,’ said Mr Joson Chan, Founder of HKASF, ‘Therefore, in Hong Kong, we will organize a movie appreciation session and tea gathering so that our angels can enjoy watching a movie in the cinema. We are so thankful to Prudential Plc, The Grand cinema and Wide Ginger for their support of the event. We hope that our society will understand more about Angelman Syndrome and create more possibilities for our angels.’
